Aaron T. Johnson

Aaron T. Johnson

February 20, 2019

Aaron T. Johnson passed away at home on Feb 20, 2019, in his sleep from heart failure.

He was born on April 9, 1976, to Brian and Vicki (Sander) Johnson in Eau Claire.  Aaron was baptized and attended Epiphany Lutheran School, South Junior High, and Memorial High Schools.

As a teenager, Aaron worked at Carmike Theater and later for Ashley Furniture for a short period of time.  At age 21, Aaron developed an illness that left him disabled until his passing.

His hobbies included golfing, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling prior to his illness.

Aaron is survived by his parents; his son, Andrew Kopp of Eau Claire; sister, Jodi (Derek) Johnson-Frans and their son Colin of Woodbury, MN; brother, Marc Johnson and his son Shawn M. Dodge of Eau Claire; grandmother, Ruth Sander of Sun Prairie, WI; grandfather and step-grandmother, Norman L. and Helen Johnson of Elk Mound; three aunts; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Sander; uncle, Tom Sander; and grandmother, Joyce L. Johnson.

I walk through the door with a smile on my face,

for I know that I’m going to a far better place

prepared for me by a God of Love who sent his son Jesus from the Heaven above.

To show us the way, the truth, the life, where there will be no more suffering, sorrow, or strife.

So sing no sad songs for me I say,

this is not the end, but the beginning today of life everlasting

on that faraway shore and reunion with loved ones who have gone on before.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services-Celebration of Life Center in Altoona is serving the family.
