Michael J “Mikey” Miller, who tragically lost his battle with addiction on December 28, 2018, in Costa Mesa, CA.

Mikey was born on April 12, 1991, and raised in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He attended St. James the Greater Elementary School where he formed very strong bonds with the teachers. Mikey obtained his HSED from McKinley Charter School and found recovery and peace in Costa Mesa, California for a while. He made many meaningful relationships in his home away from home. Mikey loved traveling, meeting new people, and felt especially at home by the Ocean.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather Julie and Tom Millmann; sister, Sarah (Stephan) Kolk; brother, Don Wagner; step siblings, Tish Haynes, Ben Millmann, and Kristi Garcia; maternal grandparents, Don and Mary Weghorn; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Miller; and by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mikey was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Miller; grandfather, Leo Miller; and aunts, Jane Palmer and Nancy Aumueller.

A Celebration of Life service for Mikey will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Chippewa Valley Cremation Services – Celebration of Life Center, 1717 Devney Drive, Altoona, WI (located behind Charter Spectrum). Pastor David J. Irgens will be officiating the service.  Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday, two hours prior to the service, from 3-5 p.m.

Memorials are suggested to NAMI-Chippewa Valley online at www.nami.org., Rosecrance Foundation online at www.rosecrance.org., or a charity that seems appropriate for the situation.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services – Celebration of Life Center in Altoona is serving the family.
