Susan Marie Lindstrom

Susan Marie Lindstrom

April 6, 2018

Susan M.  Lindstrom (Borowski), age 72, of Chippewa Falls, died peacefully, on Friday, April 6, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.

Susan was known for always speaking her mind and doing things on her own terms.  She chose not to fight her second battle with cancer.  She will forever be remembered by her gift of creating beauty, working as a beautician in the Chippewa Valley for 40 years, prior to retiring in 2006.  When she wasn’t cutting hair, you could find her knitting beautiful garments for friends and family. She enjoyed restoring old furniture, working in her flower gardens, or making flower baskets and porch pots, which she often gave away so others could enjoy.

Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren.  She rarely missed any of their many activities and was always first in line to pat them on the back and let them know just how proud she was.  She loved life, people, traveling, and any event that involved her family and friends.  Shortly before her passing, when asked if there was anything she needed, she simply replied, “take care of my grandchildren”.

Susan is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard; two children and daughter-in-law, Joselyn and Karl (Jennifer); five grandchildren, Cameron, Carson, Isaac, Ezra, and Avery; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Dorothy), Daniel (Gail) and Joseph (Geri); and many nieces and nephews.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Josephine Borowski: and one brother, Timothy.

Friends may visit from 11:30am - 12:30pm Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Holy Ghost Parish in Chippewa Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Holy Ghost Parish in Chippewa Falls with Father Justin Kizewski as the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass.  Lunch will be served after Mass in the church fellowship hall.  Burial will take place at a later date.

Chippewa Valley Cremation Services of Altoona, WI is serving the family.

  • Lori Vogel Mark and I are so sad to hear the news that Sue has passed away. We are also disappointed we missed her funeral by one day. We would have been there for the family. We remember Sue (and Rick) as wonderful neighbors. Sue was so thoughtful and wonderful to have a lively conversation with. She was always bringing homemade treats from her garden, tried to teach me to knit, loved her flowers and family! She adored her grandchildren. She and her husband were either watching their sport activites or having them over or whatever else they could do to spend time with them. Sue was an extraordinary lady!
